Knowledge retention when using e-learning to supplement face-to face training of first responders

Training of first responders in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use automated external defibrillator should be designed to maximise retention acquired knowledge. The objective this study was investigate whether e-learning as a supplement face-to-face training can lead better knowledge among participants than alone. A quasi-experiment conducted between May 2017 February 2018. Both intervention control groups participated two days (totalling ten hours). group also an additional 15-minute course. all assessed immediately after six months with paper-based test. course instruction resulted significant positive improvement retention. After period months, statistically decrease test scores observed (p = 0.005), contrast 0.114). could valid approach improve participants.
